Conducted by Challenger TAFE Centre for Adult Education, our sixth workshop in this series entitled "Basics of Bonsai" was held at John Curtin College of the Arts in Fremantle on Saturday 28th of August 2004. |
| The Event
Cold and wintry weather kept numbers down and only 7 participants made it for the day. That didn't affect group enthusiasm however and there was much discussion and problem solving related to various Bonsai styles including semi-cascade Junipers, Fig forests and informal upright Japanese Peppercorn species. Assistant Gay showed her usual dedication by handling enrolments and of course superb tea, coffee and biscuits for all. Liana presented the course outline, Bonsai creation and provided individual student tuition. By mid afternoon there was still time to design and personalise several extra bonsai with "heritage" and "stone" designs. Our thanks again to Challenger TAFE Centre for Adult Education and our enthusiastic attendees for yet another fun day...! |
